Information we use and why

When you enquire, we use the information you submit, including your name, contact details, organisation and message, to respond and manage the relationship. Please do not include sensitive personal information that we have not requested.

We rely on our legitimate interests in handling business enquiries, developing collaborations and protecting this website. Where your enquiry concerns a potential contract with you personally, we may also process it to take steps at your request before entering a contract. We do not treat an enquiry as permission to send unrelated marketing.

Our hosting server processes IP addresses, request times, requested URLs and technical browser information for delivery, troubleshooting and security. Admin login records and session information protect restricted areas. Optional accessibility settings stay in your browser.

Providers and external content

GoDaddy provides the European VPS hosting this website. The contact form is provided by Tally and is embedded to handle your enquiry. Form responses are processed by Tally on our behalf. Tally states that its form data is stored in Europe; see Tally’s data protection information.

Google Maps is not embedded on this website. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps when you follow it; that service has its own privacy policy. External links take you to services with their own notices. You can also contact us by post or telephone.

Our providers may use international support or subprocessors. Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, applicable adequacy arrangements or appropriate contractual safeguards are required. Contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

How long we keep information

Our policy is to review routine enquiries and delete them within 24 months of the last meaningful contact unless an ongoing relationship, dispute or legal obligation requires longer retention. Contractual or accounting records have separate retention requirements. Website request logs are retained on a rolling basis for up to 30 days. Admin sessions expire after two hours, or after 30 minutes of inactivity; expired rate-limit records are removed during subsequent activity. Private backup copies may retain deleted records until the backup retention period ends.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need to verify your identity. Where we rely on consent for any processing, you may withdraw it; this does not reverse processing that has already occurred.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not use website enquiries for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
